Maintenance in your street and meter cupboard
To keep the energy grid safe and reliable, we are carrying out maintenance work. Soon, we will be working in your street and will need access to your meter cupboard. This page explains why this work is necessary and how to make an appointment.

Why is this work necessary?
The energy grid in your street is outdated. We will be replacing cables or pipes both in your street and in your meter cupboard to maintain safety and reliability.
To perform these tasks safely, we will need to temporarily switch off electricity and/or gas in your building. That’s why we need access to your meter cupboard. Please make an appointment as explained below.

How to make an appointment?
Please call the phone number listed in the letter or on the appointment card you received. Together we’ll schedule a suitable time.
On the appointment day, ensure your meter cupboard is easily accessible by removing any items and making sure the door can open fully, allowing our technician to work efficiently and safely.
Didn’t make an appointment?
If you haven’t made an appointment, a technician will visit your address before starting the work, explain the situation and request access to your meter cupboard again.
If you’re not home or access is not possible, we will have to disconnect your electricity and/or gas for safety reasons, which may involve additional costs. You can find more information about these costs on this page. We hope this won’t be necessary.

Your home or business may be temporarily less accessible while we carry out the maintenance. We understand this may cause inconvenience and will work to restore the street or sidewalk as quickly as possible.
